Ana PERAICA is a writer and curator of contemporary arts in the field of media arts; photography, film and new media. She graduated in art history at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, continuing her postgraduate studies on Theory Department of the Jan Van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht and ASCA (Amsterdam School of Cultural Analysis, Theory and Interpretation), University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Her doctorate thesis at the international doctoral studies of Philosophy and Contemporarity at University of Rijeka are on Photographs as the evidence.
She is an author of the book Sub/versions (Vice Versa and Revolver Publishing, Berlin in print), editor of Victims Symptom PTSD and Culture (Institute for Networked Culture, Amsterdam, 2009) and Žena na raskrižju ideologija (HULU, 2007).
She is also an author of book chapters, as one in Re:Naming Machine (ed. Milevska, P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E, Ljubljana, 2009), two in East Art Map (eds. Irwin, Afterall / MIT Press, 2006) and a single in New Feminism, Queer and Networking Conditions (eds. Gržinić and Reitshamer, Loecker Verlaag, 2008), besides texts in edited readers published by art institutions, as of museums Kunsthalle Bern; Moderna Gallery in Ljubljana; Landesmuseum Joanneum, Graz; galleries as Galerije Poncke, Brussels, Gallery Dante Marino Cettina; various biannual manifestations as Biannual in Tirana 2006, Biannual in Venice 1999 (in Edizioni Charta, Milan), including online magazine of Documenta in Kassel (2007). She has published numerous essays in various art international magazines as Springerin, Pavilion, Issues in Contemporary Art and Culture, Afterimage, Camera Austria, New York Magazine for Art and Theory etc...She was an associate editor of issues of New Moment (East Art Map / 2001), The International Journal of the Arts in Society (2/2007), a the member of the board Artists in Scientist in the Times of War in Leonardo Journal by MIT Press.

She is a curator of various online projects as Victims Symptom (Lab for Culture, European Cultural Foundation, 2008), Machine Philosopher (Jan Van Eyck Akademie, 2000), Technology of Sounded Space (LADA 98 Rimini, 1998) as well as offline: Woman at the Crossroad of Ideologies (HULU, 2007), 21 000 – The First Behind (Backyard Novi Sad, 2007). She was a selector of ISEA Inter-Society of Electronic Arts (Stockholm, Helsinki and Tallinn, 2004), MIP (Museum in Progress) – Global Positions (Vienna, 2000), etc… and the jury member of 12th Split Film Festival (2007).
Peraica is a member of IKT, AICA, ISAST, ISEA She has been a guest lecturer at University of Amsterdam, ERASMUS-University of Rotterdam, University of Danube in Krems and many fine art academies wordwide. She is an extern assistant professor of Visual Culture, Media Arts and Propaganda Systems in Arts at Dept for Cultural Studies, University of Rijeka.
